Eclosion I

Description

Éclosion is a hand-woven wire sculpture whose sinuous and elongated forms evoke a floral organism in the process of emerging. With its fluid verticality and openwork mesh, it seems to float in space like a plant undergoing transformation.

The central stem unfolds gracefully, punctuated by volumes that suggest petals, buds, or botanical structures on the verge of opening. At its base and to the side, two droplet-like forms suggest suspended seeds, carriers of latent potential.

The subtle contrast between dark and light wires accentuates the sculpture’s inner tensions — between density and lightness, closure and blooming.

Through its title, Éclosion affirms its connection to the living world: it is a sculpture in becoming, a metaphor for slow growth, awakening, and the movement from within to outward expression.
